Kedudukan Mazhab Syafi'i dalam Ibadat di Malaysia

Abstract

The Shafi'ite school dominates the practices among Muslim society in Malaysia especially in matters pertaining to ibadat. The influence of other schools are not significant. Although administration acts and enactments of the states empower the related authorities to make decision based on Maqasid Syariah, not many cases pertaining to ibadat were decided on the principle compared to cases on muamalat.
