Abstract

Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi is one of the selected profound personalities whose teachings and researches are greatly recognized not only in the Islamic and Arabic worlds, but it has been vastly acknowledged in the west. As he has supporters in the east and west, whether in past and present time, he also has adversaries. He possessed an encyclopedic mind, and let to us hundreds of works which among them are books, treatises as well as articles. He applied in his writings symbolic and metaphorical expressions as applied by many other Sufi s which it became direct reason for several accusations renouncing him expel from the domain of Islam. Among these accusations are the notions of the unity of existence, union and incarnation and the propagation of the transcendent unity of religions. Hence, this writing will elucidate the true concept regarding the notion of the transcendent unity of religions. It will clarify that Ibn Arabi is extremely far from holding the notion of transcendent unity of religions and accepting any form of beliefs as claimed by his adversaries. As a matter of fact, he possessed firm teachings on the oneness of God and assured this notion to be applied in human life and worship.
