IBN AL-`ARABI TENTANG RAGAM FAHAM AGAMA (RELIGIOUS PLURALISM)
Abstract
This article studies the issues of the plurality of religion and religious pluralism, with a special reference to the works of Muhyi al-Din Ibn al-'Arabi. It investigates Ibn al-'Arabi's conception of religion and his view on the status of Islam vis-a-vis other traditions, especially Judaism and Christianity. Refuting the claim that Ibn al-'Arabi believed in the doctrine of the Transcendent Unity of Religions, this article also defines some key concepts that are fundamental to an Islamic framework for Civilizational Dialogue.
