Journal of Al-Tamaddun (JAT) is an open-access, peer-reviewed research journal published by the Department of Islamic History and Civilization, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. JAT published high-quality research articles and book reviews within the scope of Islamic History and Civilization.

Volume 7 No. 2 (2012) of JAT was available online on 31 December 2012 with 8 full length papers and 1 book review. Articles in this issue were authored by 14 authors from multiple affiliations and 5 countries i.e: Malaysia, Indonesia, Palestine, Bangladesh and Nigeria.
